An Introduction to the Mens Section

"The 'main' club section is actually smaller than both the Ladies and Seniors sections. But it is friendly and competitive, with a variety of games played throughout the year.

Our activities are mainly centred around the weekend golfers. Some, like the monthly medals and stablefords are for men only but there are also many opportunities for mixed golf. We organise mixed friendly matches with clubs such as Slinfold, Chichester, Hassocks and Foxbridge and Men's friendlies with Cranleigh and Sutton Green.

Throughout the year, but mainly during the Spring and Summer months we run a variety of pairs and team events such as Texas Scrambles, and the Men v Ladies is always a keenly fought battle for bragging rights!

Golf doesnt stop for the winter and the ever popular Winter League runs from October to February providing a host of opportunities to win a variety of prizes.

Many of our competitions finish up with everyone sitting down for a drink and some socialising while we work out the result and announce the winners, But we recognise that many of the weekend members have limited time, so for competitions such as medals and stablefords we encourage people to book their own tee times to play at a time that suits. The results for these are posted a couple of days after the competition is over. (With Intelligent Golf we should be able to speed this up considerably)
